My Blues Dream Team

Before we talk about the future, I wanted to talk about our past and the players that made this franchise one of the most respected franchises in the NHL. I will go line by line on who I think would best represent the All-Team roster for the St. Louis Blues. I will go from the bottom lines first and work my way to the top lines. Forwards will be presented as forwards; no center or wing positions will be determined.

Music Video Breakdown: Candy by Mandy Moore

A little bit ago I was up in Kansas City hanging out with Spencer and James (friends of the pod). I was staying at James’ house and his daughter was requesting music that we could all dance to. We ended up getting to Candy by Mandy Moore with the music video playing and I had to stop dancing to watch this masterpiece. This is by no means an original idea but after watching the music video I immediately thought about starting a blog series. Welcome to the first Music Video Breakdown featuring Candy by Mandy Moore.

Foshe Q1 Media Check-In

Earlier this year Thomas released a blog of everything he watched during the Covid-19 lockdown. This idea got us thinking that we should do this every quarter. Below you will find my Q1 Media Check-In (Movies, TV, Video Games, and Books), we released Thomas’ earlier last week. What did you watch during Q1?

Thomas Q1 Media Check In

When Kyle asked me if I wanted to continue to track what I was watching, I was excited. I also thought it might be much more balanced. Then, I watched 35 movies in January and realized that movies was going to be my focus area for this quarter. I did watch some tv shows and I did play some video games but my primary consumption was movies. I tried to be more well rounded, adding in some horror, some artistic films, and widening the range of release date. In total, I watched 75 movies, 1 documentary, 5 tv shows, and played 3 video games.

The Ultimate Guide to Basketball Bench Celebrations

Just like the blog looking at the best 3 Point Celebrations we are going to look at a few basketball bench celebrations. You will normally see these celebrations after a big dunk, late 3 pointer, or even a nasty ankle breaker. We are going to use a similar grading system to that previous 3 Point Celebration blog.

Media and Pop Culture I am Thankful For 2020

2020 has not turned out the way any of us could have imagined but that does not mean there aren’t things to be thankful for. Of course I am thankful for all of my family, friends, health etc. but this is the Going Off Topic blog and with that in mind we are going to throw a twist in the idea. Let’s look at some of the media and pop culture I am thankful for.

My Broncos Offensive Dream Team: 1988-2020

A few weeks back I wrote an article titled, “My Cardinals Dream Team: 1995-2020.” I reached out to a few friends of the Anything But Credible Network to see if they would be interested in writing a similar article for their favorite sports franchises. A Network favorite, Thomas, wrote an article on his favorite NFL franchise, The Denver Broncos. This is going to be split into two articles so make sure to check back for the defense!

Old Man in the Room: Shit I Don't Understand

“Back in my day we used to walk to school uphill both ways in 6 feet of snow.” Everyone has heard this story from a parent or grandparent as a kid. I am starting a new segment called “Old Man on the Corner: Shit I Don’t Understand.” In this segment I will look at random things (mainly in pop culture or entertainment) that I don’t understand why they are popular. Let’s have some fun!

18 Reasons Why Con Air is One of the Greatest Movies of All Time

If you don’t know by now I am a huge Nic Cage fan. Not as a joke and not because it’s “cool” but because I genuinely enjoy his acting. The guy is truly fascinating and has made some of the most interesting movies you will ever see. I am thinking about making this a running blog topic, whether it is on Nic Cage or just some of my favorite movies in general. These 18 reasons are in no particular order as they are all equally important to the cinematic masterpiece that is Con Air. Let’s dive in.

Actor Draft - Duggan

I found a picture online with the headline, “Who Would You Bring Back for 1 Final Movie?” followed by pictures of great actors who unfortunately are no longer with us. I found this picture extremely interesting and wanted to put the Going Off Topic spin on it. I came up with the idea of having a “draft” with four friends, each of them writing a blog on it, and then having each of them on the podcast for a more in-depth discussion. The following is Duggan’s blog our third part in the five part series. Make sure to check out the other blogs and podcasts on this topic!
