Super Bowl LIV Betting Guide

The Super Bowl is arguably the biggest sporting event in the United States and it’s a great time to win some money gambling. There are hundreds of ways to bet on the actual game but the real fun is in the prop bets you are able to bet on. Lucky for you we are here to provide you with a guide and some of our favorite bets.

One of these years I will find my way to Vegas for the Super Bowl, bet a large amount of money, and hopefully win a large amount of money as well. Until that day comes I will be sitting on my couch betting money and probably never winning anything, but gambling on the Super Bowl is one of the most fun things you can do. The best part? It doesn’t even matter if you know anything about football at all, there are so many fun and interesting props you can bet on for the big game. According to betfirm.com the amount legally wagered on the Super Bowl last year was $145 million and Vegas walked away with $10 million. That $145 million does not include all of the illegal wagering that is done which is estimated to be well over the legal amount gambled. With the excitement of the match-up this year, Vegas is expecting to break the record amount of $158 million that was wagered on Super Bowl LII when the Eagles took down the Patriots.

Game Bets

  1. Game Outcome: Chiefs -1.5 (-110) vs 49ers +1.5 (-110)

    a. I like the Chiefs -1.5 in the game. I think Mahomes is a special talent and as long as he is healthy he is nearly impossible to stop in this offense.

  2. Game Total: over 54.5 (-110) vs under 54.5 (-11)

    a. I like the over 54.5. I know the 49ers have a great defense but I think this game will be a high scoring affair. The Chiefs defense has been good as of late too, but the Niners have some serious speed on offense.

    b. Previous 5 Super Bowl Totals: SB53- 16, SB52-74, SB51-62 SB50-34, SB49-52

  3. MVP Odds: Mahomes +105, Jimmy Garoppolo +260, Raheem Mostert +700, George Kittle +1400, Travis Kelce +1400, Joey Bosa +2200

    a. Obviously if you can get Mahomes or Jimmy G at plus odds that is a huge deal. Normally the MVP goes to a QB because anytime a WR is getting stats it is because of the QB.

    b. There is so much talent in this game; if the Niners defense shuts down Mahomes and Co. you could see someone like Bosa or Richard Sherman winning it.

    c. I really like the two TEs in this game with Kelce and Kittle and their odds are fantastic at +1400

    d. Previous 5 Super Bowls: SB53- Julian Edelman, SB52-Nick Foles, SB51-Tom Brady, SB50-Von Miller, SB49-Tom Brady

Prop Bets

  1. Coin Toss: Heads (-105) vs. Tails (-105)

    a. Previous 10 Super Bowls are evenly split 5 heads and 5 tails

    b. I will be wagering on tails, as tails never fails

  2. How long will it take Demi Lovato to sing the National Anthem? Over 2 minutes (-240) vs Under 2 Minutes (+165)

    a. Demi’s history: McGregor-Mayweather fight-2:11, 2015 Game 4 MLB World Series-1:58, 2012 Game 4 MLB World Series-1:50, 2011 Game 5 MLB World Series-1:49, and NFL 2008 Thanksgiving Thursday-1:53

    b. This line really confuses me, in her previous National Anthem experiences she has only gone over 2 minutes once. I am taking the under with the plus odds.

  3. How many times will Donald Trump tweet on Super Bowl Sunday? Over 13.5 (+135) vs Under 13.5 (-175)

    a. From January-July 2019 Trump sent an average of 15 tweets a day; from July 2019-January 2020 that number jumped up to an average of 28 per day. He also just set his personal record of tweets in day on January 22 with 142 tweets

    b. Again this line confuses me, it seems like Trump has been on a Twitter roll and I am taking the over.

  4. Color of Gatorade dumped on winning coach- Lime/Green/Yellow (+250), Orange (+550), Red (+130), Clear/Water (+450), Blue (+600), and Purple (+850)

    a. Previous 5 Super Bowls: SB53-Blue, SB52-Yellow, SB51-None, SB50-Orange, SB49-Blue

    b. Seems like Blue is a solid option considering the history but I also like Red with both teams primary color being red

  5. Which coach will be mentioned first on TV after kickoff? Andy Reid (-140) vs Kyle Shanahan (Even)

    a. I like Andy but I really hope they show the clip of him as a kid during the Punt, Pass, and Kick competition

  6. Will Fox mention the point spread during the game? Yes (+175) vs No (-260)

    a. I am taking the Yes here. I feel like gambling is becoming more accepted around the country and if it is a close game I can definitely see them mentioning the spread.

  7. How many commercials will run during the broadcast? Over 92.5 (-125) vs. Under 92.5 (-115)

    a. I couldn’t find how many ran during last year’s broadcast, but here are some of the previous years: 2018-86, 2017-102, 2016-96, and 2015-82

    b. I honestly have no idea with this bet but I am going to take the under. I don’t think we will see as many movie trailers as we usually see

  8. How many wardrobe changes will J. Lo have during the halftime show? Over 2.5 (-150) vs Under 2.5 (+110)

    a. A few days ago, on a night out in NYC, my girl J. Lo had 4 changes in one night. I think this is an easy over and I don’t remember the last time I was this excited for the halftime show. I love J. Lo.

  9. Will Enrique Iglesias make an appearance during the halftime show? Yes (+500) vs No (-900)

    a. I think this is a no and it’s not worth betting with these odds… but what happened to Enrique?

  10. Will Will Smith make an appearance during the halftime show? Yes (+300) vs No (-500)

    a. If Will Smith shows up during the halftime show I may cease to exist because J. Lo and Will together would be incredible.

    b. Will has a song titled “Miami” and the Super Bowl is in Miami, I am saying yes Will Smith will show up

  11. What will J. Lo’s first song be? Let’s Get Loud (+300), On the Floor (+300), Live it Up (+500), Dinero (+600), Get Right (+1000), Waiting For Tonight (+1000), and Jenny From the Block (+2000)

    a. Man what an incredible list of songs, I hope she plays all of them during the set but what will she play first?

    b. I have 2 picks, I am going with Let’s Get Loud and Waiting for Tonight

  12. Will Andy Reid eat a cheeseburger before the end of the telecast? Yes (+1200) vs No (-7500)

    a. What an awesome bet to make but this is an absolute no and not worth the money at -7500. I just love that you can bet on this.
